M1-The Crab Nebula

Here is my latest imaging attempt. M1 again... :-) This fairly bright object was chose to test EQAlign http://eqalign.net/e_eqalign.html, a Drift Align Assist program that I had just installed prior to the session. Although I struggled with the translation at times , had to make several adjustments and battle gusty conditions, it shows to be a very promising tool. I will definetly give it another shot...


Conditions: Clear 35F Wind 10-15mph Seeing 3/5

The New Year with Clear Skies!







After many weeks of poor weather conditions, here are my latest imaging efforts to start off the new year. M74 (The Phantom), NGC 891, M109, M82 (Cigar Galaxy) and M51 (Whirlpool Galaxy) All images were captured early Jan. 1st 2009

Conditions: 28F Clear, Fair Seeing and Transparency with 10-20mph Wind
